Heart Diseases – Explains course
About 300 g heavy heart (Cor) is in the mediastinum (chest cavity lying in the room) to the left under the sternum and the pericardium (pericardial sac) surrounds. It is divided into right and left side, and in each case in court (atrium) and chamber (ventricle).
As a muscular hollow organ it serves through rhythmic strokes across the body for blood and oxygen supply to large and small circulation.
