Bone fractures

Bone fractures – Definition

Breaking a bone, usually accompanied by lesions of the surrounding tissues, whose severity depends on which bone is affected and the type of fracture? Fractures can be exposed (when the skin and soft tissue covering the bone are torn) or closed; broken (fractured bone ends are separated or angled) or compound, or a green wood (partial decrease bone that does not lead to its complete breakdown.)

Bone fractures – Causes

The fractures are usually caused by trauma during accidents, falls, bruises or unusual movements. Some diseases (such as infection, benign bone tumors, cancer, and osteoporosis) may weaken parts of the skeleton, making it easier for the fractures (in this case, it is called pathological fractures).  Read the rest of this entry »
