What is the DASH diet?

Broadly speaking, provides the following guidelines which should underpin the DASH diet.
DASH diet foods
Cereals and derivatives
• From 7 to 8 servings daily.
• One serving equals one slice of bread, half cup of dry cereal, a half cup of rice, pasta or cooked cereal.
Vegetables:
• 4 to 5 servings daily.
• One serving equals one cup of raw leafy vegetables, ½ cup of cooked vegetables or 180 ml of Zuma
